Hello everyone! Last month’s “Parents for Choice” Talks was a success again! We are thrilled to meet again for our sixth Talks session on Saturday, June 16 at the Nevada Action for School Options, (241 West Charleston Boulevard, Las Vegas, Nevada 89102), starting at 10:30 a.m. This month, we will host a part two on college and career readiness. We will focus on how to pay for college, specifically learning about scholarships, grants, writing essays and the FAFSA. We want to ensure we have this conversation with parents early on in your child’s education. It’s never too early to get started learning about how to prepare for college. Do you know what options you have? How do families afford it? When is the right time to apply for scholarships? Where do I find scholarships to apply for? What exactly is the FAFSA? When it comes to funding college education, it can all be very confusing. We want to help with this. Join us as we have invited one of the greatest experts in the college ready field, Evelyn Garcia Morales, to speak again at this month’s Talks. Morales works at the Fulfillment Fund and will help us understand more about how to get your child career and college ready, and how to start planning early. Our organization believes in empowering parents to choose the education they determine is best for their child, which is why we are bringing this event to you! You will also learn about the Opportunity Scholarship that gives up to $7,934 to send children to private schools, and important information about how to apply. Seats are limited for this event, so you will need to RSVP to secure your seat. RSVP here: https://p2a.co/7PPSmZK or to vgurr@federationforchildren.org See you soon! P.S. We will have pizza and refreshments. Children are also welcome.
Best regards,
